Man vs. Machine
My new series Man vs. Machine was inspired by a recent trip to Milan, where I spent my days wandering through museums, galleries, and cathedrals, surrounded by breathtaking Renaissance masterpieces. I was in awe of what humans were capable of creating hundreds of years ago — the imagination, the skill, the craftsmanship, the sheer beauty of it all.
And now, we find ourselves in an era where AI can “make art,” imitating centuries of human creativity without context, reflection, interpretation, or emotion. Artists today are even being accused of using AI, as if people have forgotten that humans are still capable of thinking, imagining, feeling, drawing, painting, and creating extraordinary things.
This series is my reflection on that tension — between the human and the machine, the past and the possible future. It draws inspiration from both ends of history: what has been, what is, and what might be inevitable. As always, it’s all filtered through my own lens — with a touch of humor.
